Mathayo 16:23

[23]Akageuka, akamwambia Petro, Nenda nyuma yangu, Shetani; u kikwazo kwangu; maana huyawazi yaliyo ya Mungu, bali ya wanadamu. 

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Yohana 13:4-15

[4]aliondoka chakulani; akaweka kando mavazi yake, akatwaa kitambaa, akajifunga kiunoni. 

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

[5]Kisha akatia maji katika bakuli, akaanza kuwatawadha wanafunzi miguu, na kuifuta kwa kile kitambaa alichojifunga. 

After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

[6]Hivyo yuaja kwa Simoni Petro. Huyo akamwambia, Bwana! Wewe wanitawadha miguu mimi? 

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

[7]Yesu akajibu, akamwambia, Nifanyalo wewe hujui sasa; lakini utalifahamu baadaye. 

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

[8]Petro akamwambia, Wewe hutanitawadha miguu kamwe. Yesu akamwambia, Kama nisipokutawadha, huna shirika nami. 

Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

[9]Simoni Petro akamwambia, Bwana, si miguu yangu tu, hata na mikono yangu na kichwa changu pia. 

Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

[10]Yesu akamwambia, Yeye aliyekwisha kuoga hana haja ila ya kutawadha miguu, bali yu safi mwili wote; nanyi mmekuwa safi, lakini si nyote. 

Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

[11]Kwa maana alimjua yeye atakayemsaliti; ndiyo maana alisema, Si nyote mlio safi. 

For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

[12]Basi alipokwisha kuwatawadha miguu, na kuyatwaa mavazi yake, na kuketi tena, akawaambia, Je! Mmeelewa na hayo niliyowatendea? 

So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

[13]Ninyi mwaniita, Mwalimu, na, Bwana; nanyi mwanena vema, maana ndivyo nilivyo. 

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

[14]Basi ikiwa mimi, niliye Bwana na Mwalimu, nimewatawadha miguu, imewapasa vivyo kutawadhana miguu ninyi kwa ninyi. 

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

[15]Kwa kuwa nimewapa kielelezo; ili kama mimi nilivyowatendea, nanyi mtende vivyo. 

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

[2]Na majina ya hao mitume kumi na wawili ni haya; Wa kwanza Simoni aliyeitwa Petro, na Andrea nduguye; Yakobo wa Zebedayo, na Yohana nduguye; 

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Mathayo 17:1-7

[1]Na baada ya siku sita Yesu akawatwaa Petro, na Yakobo, na Yohana nduguye, akawaleta juu ya mlima mrefu faraghani; 

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

[2]akageuka sura yake mbele yao; uso wake ukang’aa kama jua, mavazi yake yakawa meupe kama nuru. 

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

[3]Na tazama, wakatokewa na Musa na Eliya, wakizungumza naye. 

And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

[4]Petro akajibu akamwambia Yesu, Bwana, ni vizuri sisi kuwapo hapa; ukitaka, nitafanya hapa vibanda vitatu, kimoja chako wewe, na kimoja cha Musa, na kimoja cha Eliya. 

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

[5]Alipokuwa katika kusema, tazama, wingu jeupe likawatia uvuli; na tazama, sauti ikatoka katika lile wingu, ikasema, Huyu ni Mwanangu, mpendwa wangu, ninayependezwa naye; msikieni yeye. 

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

[6]Na wale wanafunzi waliposikia, walianguka kifulifuli, wakaogopa sana. 

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

[7]Yesu akaja, akawagusa, akasema, Inukeni, wala msiogope. 

And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
